Celebration of Feasts Retains Traditions, Strengthens Relations































The annual parish priest of Holy Rosary Church Alangar – Moodbidri was celebrated on the 26th of October. Hundreds of devotees and 35 priests joined in celebrating the solemn Eucharistic celebration, presided over by Most Rev Dr William D’Souza, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Patna. Celebration of feasts retains traditions and strengthens familial bonds said the Archbishop in his message. Very Rev Fr Paul Sequeira dean of Moodbidri Deanery, broke the word and called us to reflect on Mother Mary a person of love and called us to build families of love. Local MLA Mr Abhaychandra Jain came with his greetings post Eucharist and wished all of us.

Parish priest Fr Basil Vas and Asst Fr Kenneth Crasta thanked everyone. Parish Council Vice- President Mr Jerald Lobo, Secretary Mr Santhosh Rodrigues and Municipality Member and parish council member Mr P.K. Thomas were present along with all the other devotees.

Celebration Of Confraternity Sunday For Annual Feast Of Parish
































The parish community day usually called as 'Kompricho Aitar' (Confraternity sunday) celebrated on 23st October as preparation for the Annual feast which will be held on 26th Wednesday.
The Eucharistic celebration was followed by the procession where the entire parish community took part in it. The musical band from Hospet, the choir of the parish, prayerful singing of the parishioners, the colourful decoration all along the way with the words of scriptures coloured the entire celebration. Fr Basil Vas, the parish priest took extra initiative encouraging the parishioners all along the week, being with them  in their preparations.
Today's celebration marked the first day of the parish feast celebration on tuesday 25 oct there will be vespersat 6:30pm. On Wednesday 26oct the annual parish feast will be held with a High mass at 10:30am.
